Lamborghini Huracan Launched in India for Rs 3.43 Crores; Deliveries Begin from Oct

The Gallardo replacing Huracan has finally been launched in India at a glistening ceremony in Mumbai yesterday. The car has been priced at Rs 3.43 crores (ex-showroom, Delhi) and this will surely make your dad throw you out of the house if you ask for one as our next birthday gift.

Although bookings for the car had begun in early January, the deliveries would begin only now in October. The new legend houses the time-tested 5.2L V10 engine producing power equivalent of 610 horses.

With a top whack of 325kmph, it reaches the ton in just 3.32 seconds flat! Sheer power right? Perfectly apt for sharing the name of a fighting bull of the Spanish Conte de la Patilla breed who fought in August 1879 in Alicante. His unyielding character made him invincible, something which the new Lamborghini aspires to do. It does have a tall ladder to climb. The Gallardo, its predecessor, has been the most successful Lamborghini ever, with 14,022 units sold off in a time span of 10 years.

The Huracan is the first super sports car to have an all LED lighting system, which makes the car look like a gem in the night. The cockpit sees the use of a 12.3 inch TFT screen with full integrated console. The car weighs 1,422kg, thanks to its ultra-light chassis form.

The new ‘Iniezione Diretta Stratificata’ combines direct and indirect injection of fuel which will allow an increase in power and torque compared with the Gallardo and a decrease in fuel consumption and emissions. In fact, the car gives a mileage of 8kmpl (cough…cough) thanks to the inclusion of a new Start/Stop system.

So folks, care for one?
