A report on Economic Times has speculated on the possible launch time frames of these cars. While it is already understood that the new 2015 Verna facelift may be launched in February, which will be followed by i20 based Crossover, i20 Cross in April 2015.

The much awaited, ix25, though, is reportedly coming much later, towards the festive season which means it is still a long wait. As per the report, these new models will help Hyundai grow at an estimated 14 per cent compared to their last year’s performance. This would take their total sales figures up to 4.65 lakh units, as against the 4.11 lakh units they sold in 2014.

The Elite i20 Cross, spotted first by, is targeted a segment which still has a very niche market. It will compete against the likes of Fiat Avventura and Volkswagen Cross Polo and is a clear attempt to ring in on the current ‘crossover/SUV’ craze. The mid-size sedan Verna has seen its sales dropping ever since the new City with diesel engine set foot here, and now with the Maruti Ciaz raising the ante against it, the Verna desperately needs a significant refresh to snatch back its lost momentum.

However, the pick of the products will be the Hyundai ix25 which is a compact SUV and will be pitted against the likes of the Duster and Terrano in India. But, a delayed Diwali launch is not what we expected…
