Maruti Suzuki wants to make the most of the upcoming festive season and in that attempt, apart from new models, they are walking the tried and tested ploy of bringing out special editions of their best-selling models. The spotlight now comes to their tall boy WagonR which gets a limited edition version called WagonR Avance at a starting price of Rs 4.30 lakhs.
The WagonR Avance will be offered for just three months, is available only in the LXi petrol and LXi CNG variants and brings a few cosmetic changes which will help get you more from the lower variants.
Powering the car is the same 1.0 litre naturally aspirated three cylinder BS 4 engine which produces a maximum power output of 68 PS at 6,200 rpm and 90 Nm of peak torque at 3,500 rpm. The output in the CNG version drops to 59 PS and 77 Nm.
WagonR Avance Changes:
The changes on the WagonR Avance include:
- More stickers
- Roof rail in gun metal colour
- Back door spoiler
- Double DIN stereo with Bluetooth
- Dual tone dashboard with beige colour
- Premium seat fabric
- Rear power windows
- Central locking
- Keyless entry
- Security alarm
The company has so far sold more than 16.6 lakh WagonR units in the country and a change will definitely add to the number.

In essence, Maruti is charging about Rs 25,000 extra for all these accessories and added features, which is not a bad deal.
Except the key less entry and security alarm, these are silly changes that you project as something great features.
