The first to come up will be the country’s most affordable hatchback Nano which has gone through a significant makeover. For the first time Nano GenX will be offered with an Automatic gearbox (AMT) which will make it the cheapest automatic (clutchless) car in India.

Apart from this, new Nano GenX will come with a ‘Sports Mode’ for that extra little fun, cosmetic changes, higher safety, openable tailgate and a host of other betterments. Read more about the car here.

2. Renault XBA:

Mahindra has changed the face of their crossover and it is expected with a lot of betterments. However, the single biggest point to look out for is the new 6-speed Automatic gearbox sourced from Aisin the new XUV500 will come equipped with, in addition to the current 6-speed manual tyranny. Not officially confirmed but its launch date is pegged at 25th May. Check more details and spypics of the XUV500 facelift here.

Apart from this, we have the following cars that are also round the corner…

Safari Storme Facelift: According to the leaked brochure, new Storme will get a slightly more powerful motor but with the same torque (no 400 Nm). There are a few feature additions and deletions and the prices are expected to start a little lesser at Rs 9.99 Lakhs. For more details and pics of Safari Storme, click here.

Celerio Diesel: We have seen the test drive models with all that stickering and everything which only suggest one thing – its impending launch. Celerio diesel will be powered by the new Suzuki’s 800cc twin cylinder diesel engine which will enable it to become country’s most fuel efficient car at expected rating of about 30 kmpl. Latest reports suggest it may churn out 125Nm of torque and about 40 horse of power. For clear spy pics and more details of Celerio diesel, click here.

Launch of both Storme and Celerio diesel should be very soon, most probably by June 2015.
