So, its not that Maruti Suzuki is sitting on its laurels and watching the game move on. In fact it appears to be the most aggressive manufacturer for the complete next year and have a jampacked launch schedule with cars spanning across almost all segments.
Here is a list of 9 upcoming cars by the Gurgaon based manufacturer which are slated to be launched in 2015 and beyond:
1. Dzire facelift and AMT:
- Engine: Petrol & Diesel

- Expected Price Range: Rs 4.7-7.5 Lakhs
The company has updated the Swift with more economically tuned engines and a longer feature list and the same would percolate to the its sibling – Dzire! Apart from a new face, minor niptucks and better interiors, Dzire facelift is also speculated to get an AMT gearbox.

2. WagonR AMT:

The AMT gearbox is speculated to go to the premium version of WagonR – Stingray. There may be a minor cosmetic upgrade on offer as well.
3. Ertiga Facelift & AMT:

- Launch: Mid 2015 expected
- Expected Price Range: Rs 4.7-7.5 Lakhs
Like others, company’s star performing MPV will also get a mid-life facelift and according to the spyshots that have surfaced, the car may end up looking sportier. It will get a redesigned front nose and rear bumpers. There are also speculations that Ertiga will also get AMT transmission.

4. Ciaz RS:

The Ciaz RS will be graced with a sporty looking body kit and beautiful matte finish alloy wheels. The car is going to target the top variant of the Honda City and may also get Maruti’s new SmartPlay infotainment system.

5. Celerio Diesel:

- Launch: First part of 2015
- Expected Price: Rs 5 Lakhs
Celerio getting ready with a diesel heart which will be Maruti Suzuki’s first indigenously developed engine. Displacing 800cc, the Celerio diesel is expected to be tuned more towards fuel efficiency. The car is slated to be the company’s most affordable diesel car in India.

6. S-Cross:

- Launch: Early 2015
- Expected Price Range: Rs 9-14 Lakhs
The S-Cross will be a major launch by Maruti and will be a premium offering. It is also expected to mark the entry of the 1.6 L multijet diesel in India which the company will be sourcing from Fiat. It will compete against rivals like the Duster and Terrano. It is about 4.3 m long and may also come with Suzuki’s ‘allgrip AWD’ drivetrain.

7. YRA Hatchback:

- Expected Price Range: Rs 5-7.5 Lakhs
YRA is the codename of the premium hatchback by Maruti which will be taking on the Hyundai Elite i20 and the upcoming Honda Jazz. It will sit over Swift and the engine details of the car remain sketchy at this point. There are rumours of a new 1.0 L turbocharged petrol engine being developed for the car while it may continue with the 1.3 DDIS, possibly in the 90PS VGT trim.

8. YBA Compact SUV:

- Launch: End 2015 or early 2016
- Expected Price Range: Rs 6-10 Lakhs
The company’s first compact SUV, aimed at the Ford EcoSport will continue their attempt to go premium. It will be drawing some inspiration from the XA Alpha concept showcased during the 2012 Auto Expo. There is still a long time before the YBA hits the roads but it will most probably be armed with the same engines used in most run off the mill Maruti cars.

9. YJC MPV:

The 7 seater MPV which the company is going to base most probably on the WagonR is going to be a very interesting product. Placed below the Ertiga, it will have the opportunity to eat into the market of not just the Go+ but also a lot of hatchbacks. Apart from the 1.3 L diesel it is also expected to be powered by the 1.2L K series petrol.
So, at this moment, this is how vast Maruti’s upcoming car launch plan looks like to us for the coming year and thereafter. There may be some minor refreshes and special editions in between.
