The company reports that there is high demand for a cheaper diesel automatic. Currently the four-speed automatic is available only on the top-end SX (O) variant. The price difference between both the variants is approximately Rs 75,000.
Hyundai is expecting an increase of as much as 25 percent of the Verna’s overall sales after the launch of it’s new auto variant. At present the top-end Automatic Verna diesel contributes 10 percent to the total Verna’s sales.

The company has also started to provide a reverse camera as a standard fitment on the Verna in all variants. In the last six months total sales of Verna has reached 27,533 units making it the best-selling car in its segment.
