Mahindra is contemplating setting up an SUV manufacturing plant in Madhya Pradesh. This was revealed by a senior state government official.
The quantum of investment is also touted to be a big sum of around Rs 3000 crores and the facility would spread across 500 acres of land in the state.
“Mahindra and Mahindra is considering to invest nearly Rs 3,000 crore to open sports utility vehicle manufacturing (SUV) facility spread on 500 acres in the state“. This was informed by Manish Singh who is Madhya Pradesh Industrial Center Development Corporation Managing Director.
He also said that some land in Bagroda near Bhopal was shown to the company officials. Mahindra already has a 2 wheeler manufacturing facility at Pithampur near Indore in Madhya Pradesh. We will wait for an official confirmation from Mahindra but if the investment amount goes true this would be the biggest such investment in Madhya Pradesh.
