Mahindra did it in style in the 12-16 Lakh price segment with the XUV5OO! They are doing it in all the lower segments as well. And with the inclusion of SsangYong’s prowess, they now want to move up the ladder.
Mahindra would launch the first ever product from its Korean SsangYong’s stables, Rexton on 17th October in India. The SUV is Mahindra’s shot at high end SUV segment which is dominated by Toyota’s Fortuner. Now, there was a big confusion whether the Rexton would come under Mahindra’s badge which is known to the masses or the company would decide to keep the Korean brand and launch it.
It seems that the Rexton would be called as “SsangYong Rexton by Mahindra“. Mahindra has put a pic on Rexton’s official FaceBook page reading out “Discover the new face of sophistication and refinement in a high end SUV on October 17th”
Incidentally (we would love to call that as!) Tata is also launching the much awaited Safari Storme on the same day.
