Mahindra’s next shot in the passenger car segment is the upcoming Verito Vibe. We have already seen the car and it is a chopped version of the bigger Verito sedan.
Now, as we were caught in this confusion of what will Mahindra call it – compact sedan or hatchback, it seems we have got our answer. Mahindra has teased the Verito Vibe at their official Facebook page with a shadow-ey pic of the car. It gets a tag of “A sneak peek! Verito Vibe – Mahindra’s new compact 3 box car with a large boot.“.
So, Mahindra will call and promote it as a compact sedan rather than a full-fledged hatch. However, through its expected prices, it appears that it will also compete with the premium hatchbacks available in our country. Also note the tagline -“Everybody Loves a Sport” hinting at the possibility of the promotion of the car as a sporty alternate to the regular cars available in this segment. Vibe is Mahindra’s effort in offering a sub 4-meter car.
Launch of Verito Vibe is scheduled for tomorrow and expectations are ripe that Mahindra will sledge it out with a very striking price tag. Vibe will only be available with the 1.5L K9K diesel motor from Verito and there will be no petrol engine on offer as Mahindra doesn’t have a sub 1.2L petrol engine yet.
It also gets apparently clear that Mahindra will promote the car’s interior space and bigger boot as its unique selling points. Obviously, the fantastic driveability of the Renault sourced engine and expected VFM price tag will be added bonuses. All the details will sputter in tomorrow when Mahindra will officially pull the wraps off the car. Stay tuned!
