After a year-long lull, Mahindra Motors are coiling for a strike, several strikes in fact. Economic Times has it that Mahindra & Mahindra is all set to introduce 7 to 8 new and enhanced products in the year 2014.

Last year has not been any pleasant for the motoring industry. The demands have been low and increased duties on utility vehicles meant that Mahindra’s core business took it where it hurts the most.

Mahindra Upcoming Variants:

This year though Mahindra has plans to introduce a new Scorpio facelift some time in June 2014. It has been spied numerous times and will be one launch to look out for.

Following Scorpio, there will be new Maxximo goods and passenger vehicle in October 2014 and a new small capacity truck which will replace the present Gio in its portfolio. We also expect to see new variants/upgrades to Bolero as well as the sad looking Quanto and Xylo siblings which have not been doing good for the company (More Details here).

Interestingly, XUV5OO is also going to receive a booster shot some time early next year as this report predicts.

Quoting Mr. Pravin Shah, Chief Executive, automotive division, Mahindra & Mahindra, the publication reports that the company is all set to introduce major variants, totally different drive lines and face-lifted models. Plans to introduce new products and new platforms are also afoot and these will see the light during the year 2015-2016.

Mahindra is the country’s largest utility vehicle manufacturer and witnessing what it did to the market with its stunning XUV500, the competition will be all ears to know more. So are we for that matter, but the details for now are sketchy at the best. Can M&M make a turnaround from the last year? It has the potential and it seems it will. We hope to see the company come up with some more stunners like the XUV 500.
