So the talk of the tinsel town these days is the upcoming Celerio which features AMT which stands for Automated Manual Transmission and is being promoted as EZ Drive.
Maruti Suzuki has started promotions of the car with television ads teasing the audience and we also have its micro sight up and running. In a new twist to the story, days before its official launch, its brochure has been leaked onto the interweb revealing all the features and variant details by Autosarena.com. So, here is a quick dekko at them:
So the first revelation is what we already have had a hint of – the number of variants is 6, 3 each for manual and AMT. Here is a list of all the variants:

This clears that AMT equipped Celerio will start with the base LXi variant and will also have the top of the line ZXi trim. Add to that there are a few features which are present only on the AMT equipped corresponding variants.

Along with this spec sheet, the tune of the engine has also been busted. So Maruti has carried over similar specs of their K10 engine onto the Celerio. It gets powered by the 998cc petrol motor producing 68PS of power output at 6000rpm and 90Nm of torque at 3500 rpm.
This also clears that there is no airbags loaded variant on offer, not even optional, which is a shame! In India Celerio will replace the A-Star and the Estilo which are big underperformers for Maruti.
The test drive Celerio you see here is the top of the line ZXI trim with ABS and Auto Gear Shift. The car has reached dealerships and bookings are underway.

We believe the prices of Maruti Celerio will start at around Rs 3.7 Lakhs and go all the way uptill Rs 5 Lakhs ex-showroom Delhi.
