Maruti Suzuki, the country’s largest selling car maker has announced the launch of new age high tech dealerships for its upcoming Duster rivaling product, the S-Cross. Called as the Nexa, the company plans to launch 100 such dealerships in next 6 to 8 months in 30 cities across the country.
This is one of Maruti’s major initiative to reach an annual sales of 2 million units by 2020 and more dealerships shall follow in the second phase. Based on customer feedback Maruti believes that there is a growing list of Indian car buyers who desire and value personal care, warmth and attention in their car buying and ownership experience. Nexa aims to offer them a premium experience to fulfill this need.
The sales executives at Nexa will be armed with iPads to collect personal choices of their customers. Going paper free, Maruti will also include car configurators in these iPads which can be replicated in Apple TVs. A mobile phone application has also been created which will allow the customer to recall service history, access emergency support, purchase accessories, event updates and manage service requests.
The company has recruited and trained 1,000 relationship managers which will be increased to 2,500 in the next 6 to 8 months.
Post the S-Cross (which is launching on 5th August), Maruti will also add few of its future products like YRA (premium hatchback over Swift) to its Nexa outlets. It even brings the delivery centre inside the comfort of the showroom in a dedicated area with LED lighting and customer’s choice of music playing in the background.
