Maruti Launches Alto 800 Facelift; Is Cheaper & Claims 9% Fuel Efficiency Increase

As was in the news, Maruti Suzuki has finally launched the 2016 Alto 800 Facelift at Rs 2.49 lakhs. It gains a few cosmetic changes (which are hard to notice) and emerges as 9 percent more efficient than the outgoing model.

The Alto has remained the country’s largest selling car for 12 years now with sales figures having reached the 3 million milestone recently. In fact, the Alto amounts to almost 18 to 20 per cent of Maruti’s sales. The company had only recently in January started offering driver side airbag as an optional extra right from the base variant.
