Maruti to Get Aggressive With Ads

You would have already seen Ertiga’s ads doing rounds from newspaper websites to top automotive sites to the most read blogs. Maruti is in process to increase its marketing and advertisement budget by 5-10 percent for this year.

The company spent about Rs 357 crore last year in branding and promoting its cars. Considering the proposed increase, it is expected to be around 370-400 crores for this year. Digital promotion activities are also planned to go higher. Out of the total budget, around 5-7 percent would go to digital advertising for this year.

Maruti suffered a market share loss as well as sales decline this year.
