One thing is for sure, competition has forced Maruti to be on their heels and think doubly fast in terms of their product offerings and refreshes in the market.
According to Oncars.in, the next product refresh coming from them will be the Alto K10 facelift. Alto K10 has been in the market in this form for the last 3 years and will celebrate its third anniversary next month. And to bring freshness to the product, the company feels it is an oppurtune time to give it a facelift.
Though its not known to what extent will Maruti go in providing changes to the new car, we can safely assume it would be the regular niptuck job Maruti is known for. Expect a new decal job, reworked grille, newer upholstery and a few other minor bits. Alto K10 is the more powerful sibling of Alto 800 which comes with a 1L K-Series petrol motor.
Alto K10 is known for its agile performance in the entry level segment and forms a reasonable chunk of sales for the Alto brand. Though the recent model refresh of SX4 has not done any real good to the company’s fortunes, Maruti will be hoping for better results with this Alto K10 refresh.
Alto K10 facelift will also help Maruti slug it out with the increasing competition in this entry level segment with the oncoming of newer products. Maruti is expected to launch the Alto K10 facelift sometime during the festive season.
