Maruti To Launch Ertiga On 11th April

At the Indian Auto Expo, New Delhi, one of the most happening unveils was the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle). Well, now it seems we’re about to witness the launch of Ertiga on 11th of April. The Ertiga was supposed to be priced around INR 7-9 Lakhs but Maruti Suzuki played a trick here.  Since the union budget is due for announcement on March 16th and we all are expecting the Indian Government to increase taxes on Diesel Cars, there can be any change on the price tag of this MPV.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga MPV is to be launched in three variants, for petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol engine will be a 1.4-Litre K-14 Engine producing 94 BHp of power and 130 Nm of torque. The diesel engine will be a 1.3-Litre Fiat Multijet featuring VGT (Variable Geometry Turbocharger) producing 90 BHp and 200 Nm of torque. Though Maruti Suzuki calls it ‘1.3-Litre DDiS Super Turbo’ and claims the mileage to be 20.77 kmpl.

Though this yet to be launched MPV doesn’t have the size of other MPVs like Innova or Xylo but it offers plenty of space with middle-row foldable seats. Maruti Suzuki has plans to sell 5000 units of this car per month.
