BMW India has launched the 3 Series 320d Gran Turismo Sport Line at a special introductory price of Rs 39.90 lakhs ex-showroom, Delhi and it will sit under the Luxury Line variant . The car is being locally produced (assembled) in India at their Chennai plant and will be available at all BMW dealerships across the country.
Powered by a 2.0 litre 4 cylinder TwinPower turbocharged diesel engine, it churns out a maximum power of 183.5 PS at 4,000 rpm and 380 Nm of peak torque in the range of 1,750 to 2,750 rpm. Transmission duties are overseen by the familiar 8 speed Steptronic automatic unit which is capable of pushing the car to 100 kmph in 7.9 second. It even returns a rated fuel efficiency of 19.59 kmpl!
The 3 Series GT Sport Line oozes of oomph and sportiness. It gets a new kidney grille in high gloss black colour instead of the 11 grille set up in the 3 Series GT Luxury Line. The grille also gets a chrome outline for differentiation. The high gloss black theme continues throughout the exterior setup with window surrounds in matte black. Interiors too carry a new look with a layout of black red and chrome. The leather sporty steering wheel gets red stitching and the contrast is further brought out on the driver and front passenger seats. And if we talk driving dynamics, the car gets four driving modes – Comfort, Eco Pro, Sport and Sport+.
The 3 Series GT Sport Line though does not get a sun roof and has a different set of alloy wheels. The car will be available in four external colours:
- Alpine White (non-metallic)
- Black Sapphire (metallic)
- Imperial Blue Brilliant Effect (metallic)
- Midnight Blue (metallic)
