2016 Beat comes with minor feature changes but the top variant gets significantly cheaper…
Chevrolet India has launched the 2016 Beat in India at starting prices of Rs 4.28 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The update brings no mechanical changes but introduces safety features and minor blink and you miss safety features. They have also introduced a new nomenclature where the top end is now called as LTZ as against LT(O).

The car now gains…
- driver side airbags in LT variant,
- remote keyless entry with foldable key,
- body-colored door handles,
- silver interior highlights on lower trims,
- dual tone rear bumper,
- redesigned rear spoiler with LED inserts,
- It also boasts of new silver interiors and height adjustable driver seat
Engine options remain the same – 1.2 litre 4 cylinder petrol mill producing 77.9 PS of power and 106.5 Nm of torque and 1.0 litre three pot diesel engine churning out 57.1 PS of maximum power and 142.5 Nm of peak torque. The fuel efficiency rating too remains the same at 17.8 kmpl for the petrol and 25.44 kmpl for the diesel.
Chevrolet has also included Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) in the top end LTZ variant which along with ABS and dual front airbags completes the safety net.

2016 Beat Prices
Chevrolet has priced the new Beat in the price range of Rs 4.28 lakhs to Rs 5.55 lakhs ex-showroom, Delhi. While the base variant sees an increase of around Rs 4,000, the top end LTZ trim gets cheaper by nearly Rs 77,000.
