The Ford Ka sedan and hatchback have been spotted doing rounds together in Brazil yet again by Autoseggredos. As the FIFA World Cup draws near, the possibility of their launch is heating up!
The mules look exactly like the ones that were spied a few days back which means we can be rest assured that the production versions of Ka hatch and sedan will be very close to their concept models which have been unveiled. The Aston Martin inspired front grille and the lovely rear spoiler adds to the masculinity of the car.
Ford aims to set new standards for quality and craftsmanship in the B-segment, aiming to fulfil the expectations of consumers in India and other emerging markets.
The Ka is the Indian Figo which means Ka hatchback will be launched here as the Next-Gen Ford Figo whereas the Ka sedan is the Figo Concept that Ford has already unveiled here. But there is a small difference. The Figo sedan will be smaller (under 4 meters) than the Ka sedan so that it gets the excise duty benefits.
Ford is betting heavily on the Figo/Ka and hopes that with the new design philosophy it will be able to rise again. With the Next-Gen Figo, codenamed as ‘B562’, Ford has serious hopes and it intends to sell it in hoards when launched here in India.
Brazilian Kas are expected to get 1.0L EcoBoost petrol motor. Indian Next-Gen Figos will definitely get the 1.5L TDCI Diesel engine in addition. Ford has already started teasing the Ka hatchback in Brazil with a launch expected soon.
