An official email has confirmed new-gen Endeavour launch in India along with specs and engine options updated on the website.
Ford India has officially announced that the new Endeavour will be launched in January 2016, making it their first launch of the year. New Endy gets a new set of engines and a completely reworked exterior which Ford claims makes it the most aerodynamic SUV in the segment. Set to be launched in two trims, it also gets 4×4.
In terms of features, the new-gen Endeavour gets new trapezoidal front grille, LED DRLs, automatic headlights and LED tail lamps. It can wade through 800 mm of water and can climb an approach angle of 30 degrees along with a departure angle of 25 degrees. The ground clearance too is a handy 225 mm. The Terrain Management System in the 4×4 drive version lets you change driving modes (Snow, Sand and Rock) on the fly.

In terms of safety, Endeavour boasts of 7 airbags (side, curtain and driver knee) with dual front airbags standard right from the base variant. Electronic aids like ABS, EBD, Electronic Stability and traction control are standard across the range.
The new Endeavour measures 4,892 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width and 1,837 mm in height. A 10 speaker sound system with SYNC and a TFT screen can be found across the range. Ford’s new Endy will be competing against the segment leader Fortuner (which is also set to get new-gen model later on), newly launched Chevrolet Trailblazer and the Mitsubishi Pajero.
