Honda has had a very good year so far. Their new Honda City has practically ruled the mid-size sedan segment for the entire year. The Amaze too has been doing pretty well and the new 7 seater MPV Mobilio has also seen some good movement.
They have also opened their second manufacturing facility at Tapukara and have even started second shifts at the factory.
Their next product launch in India is the Jazz hatchback which was discontinued in India last year. While originally the new Jazz was meant to be launched in India in the second half of the current year, during the launch of the Mobilio the company announced that the premium hatch would spill over to 2015, possibly before the financial year 2014-15 ends.
But the latest update on Jazz’s Indian launch, as per Economic Times would not go down well with its fans. They say that the launch of Jazz may get further delayed. And the issue is not with the product’s completeness but Honda’s production constraints.
Honda, right now has a production capability of 2.4 lakh units per annum and aims to reach 3 lakh units in the near future. To accommodate the demand of the City, Mobilio and the Amaze, the company may have to delay the launch of the Jazz. The management though wants to launch the Jazz by the next year. They have not declared a time frame but it can be expected anytime next year, is what they say…
But how? With this limited capacity how is Honda expecting that they will be able to do justice to the demand of the Jazz when it will be launched? According to conservative estimates, we believe Jazz may be launched sometime towards the second half of next year 2015.

Jazz has done well in the previous and people love it who owe. I am also planning to pick a hatch next year and that could be this Jazz.
