Its the festive season and Volkswagen India has launched new limited edition models of the Polo and Vento. Both the Polo and Vento have been known in the country as premium offerings in their respective segments and the hatchback was recently recalled due to handbrake issues.
The changes on the Limited Edition variants of both the cars are purely cosmetic. The company has however not revealed the prices for these updates. Let’s have a look at the two cars one by one to see what’s new:
Volkswagen Polo Exquisite Edition:
The Polo Exquisite Edition is available at all Volkswagen dealerships from October 9, 2015 onwards. The new features can be availed at attractive costs over the Highline trim. The powertrain remains the same 1.2 litre MPI petrol engine with 75 PS of power and 110 Nm of torque and 1.5 litre TDI diesel mill producing 90 PS of maximum power and 230 Nm of peak torque.
The new features include:
- Carbon fibre finish for the centre console
- Trunk garnish and body side moulding
- Black roof foil
- ORVM with carbon fibre finish
- Detachable made to size window blinds
- Floor mats
- Scuff plates
- Seat covers
Volkswagen Vento Highline Plus:
The Vento Highline Plus also incorporates new cosmetic changes to the car and will be available on the Highline trim. The mechanicals include the 1.6 litre MPI petrol engine producing 105 PS of maximum power and 153 Nm of peak torque, and the 1.5 litre TDI diesel mill churning out 105 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. This limited edition model though is available only with a manual transmission and not the 7 speed DSG.
