The Mahindra Scorpio facelift has finally been launched and being one among the country’s largest selling SUVs, it has already garnered a lot of interest and with a controversial new extravagant look, some critics as well!
Mahindra has always managed to make some really attractive advertisements for Scorpio and they have released the official TVC which should go online soon (or it may already be in air!).
The present TVC has been shot again at some international location and with an attempt to show its brilliant off-road ability, as a continuation of the teaser video that the company put up a few days back.
The driver is shown trying to pull out his horse which has got stuck in slush, displaying the power and torque of the tried and tested engine. The 2.2L mHawk, which is used in all the variants except the basic one, churns out 121.7 PS of power at 4000 rpm and 280 Nm of torque in the range of 1800 to 2800 rpm. Thus, the new Scorpio seems not to be afraid of getting dirty, which it does thanks to the slush.
The car is then shown to be washed very innovatively with water being dropped from a crop dusting plane! Wohoo, now that’s getting interesting eh? The ‘man’ then ultimately reaches home safely after driving through some difficult terrain. With this Mahindra is trying to bring home the point that no matter what the terrain be, the new Scorpio with its ‘fiery eyes and fangs of steel’ is a vicious beast which will get you home safely.
We just wish that those lovely LED daytime running lights, seen so prominently in the first part of the TVC had been made standard on all variants. Sadly, they are available only on the top of the line S10 variant.
Nonetheless, here is the video. Enjoy and see if ‘Nothing else will do’!
