New Mercedes Benz E-Class Spotted Testing in Germany

A test mule of the new Mercedes Benz E-Class was spotted testing in Germany. The changes are quite visible from outside. Unlike the existing models, the new E-Class will sport a single unit headlight on both sides.  Despite of being mounted on the front bumper, LED Daytime Running Lamps are expected to be incorporated with the headlamp unit. The coupé variant of the E-Class is likely to have a redesigned front grille wit Mercedes-Benz’s Three Pointed Star, set in a more upright position.

On the back side of this test mule, the tail lamps and the rear bumper were unchanged. Though the production model may sport redesigned tail lamps and rear bumper.  Changes are also expected at the inside of the car. Especially the dashboard and the steering wheel is expected to be reworked to keep up with the latest models of Mercedes-Benz.

We expect the engine and transmission to remain the same but some weight loss might increase the performance and fuel efficiency of the car. Launch of this new E-Class is still unclear. Stay tuned for more updates.
