New Polo Facelift 1.5 MT Detailed in New Spy Pics; 15th July Launch

Just as we reported about its official launch date, we have some new spy pics of the upcoming 2014 Polo facelift which detail the car better.

These pics courtesy Carsizzler.com, appear to have been taken at some dealership and feature the new Polo facelift with manual transmission. The new front grille with chrome inserts, refreshed front bumper with new fog lamp housing, re-touched rear tail lamps and front head lamps, updated steering wheel and infotainment system are some of the cosmetic changes.

Well, classiness at its best, the new Polo continues to be one of the best looking hatchbacks available in the country, without any iota of forceful embedded flashiness!

The third horizontal line runs chrome and the headlamps are smoked. Carsizzler also takes our attention to the new alloy wheels which are different from the ones that the Auto Expo Polo facelift sported. There is the presence of side blinkers on the side fenders which quashes the possibility of them having on the ORVMs.

The new flat-bottomed steering wheel gets new black inserts and looks real premium. The steering mounted buttons include the telephone and volume controls. The music system is carried over from the older Polo but the silver treatment is new. The car, in short, gets a lot of minor cosmetic enhancements. Internally though it gets the big evolution – the new 1.5L diesel mill.

Going by the TDI badge at the rear, it sure is the diesel version. The new 1.5L diesel engine, on the Polo, is expected to produce 90PS of power with a higher-powered 105PS tune reserved for the Volkswagen Vento and possibly for the GT variants as well.

We will get to know every little detail including its prices on 15th. Keep tuned
