Volkswagen India has given the Polo a mid-life update to make it more interesting to the prospective buyers. The 2015 Polo gains a few additional features and comes at a starting price of Rs 5.23 lakhs (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The updated version of the new Polo is already available at Volkswagen’s showrooms across the nation since September 1.
The engine options remain the same with the 1.2 litre three cylinder MPI engine producing 75 PS of power and 110 Nm of torque. The 1.5 litre four pot diesel TDI mill comes in two power tunes of 90 PS and 105 PS with torque outputs of 230 Nm and 250 Nm respectively. A 1.2 litre four cylinder TSI mill is also available which produces 105 PS of maximum power and 175 Nm of peak torque.
New 2015 Polo Features
The car gains some handy features which include:
- Electronically foldable outside rear view mirrors with integrated turn indicators now standard across all variants.
- Cooled glove box for keeping your drinks cool while on the road in the Comfortline and Highline trim.
- In addition to new ORVMs and a cooled glove compartment, the range topping Highline trim also gains a handy cruise control.
