New Better Spy Pics of Tata KITE, Spotted With Nano AMT

Just as we talked about the first spotting of Tata’s upcoming entry level hatchback Kite, the Indian auto sphere is abuzz with many new sightings of the car all in a matter of 48 hours or so…

This time Kite was clicked testing along with the Nano F-Tronic by a reader of Indianautosblog.com. The car continues to be heavily camouflaged and so we still cannot make out any design features. However, the last pics only revealed the side profile of the car and these new pics capture the face as well.

The overall profile signals a sharp resemblance with the Indica which is NOT a good thing at the very onset! This also means that the car may be based on the heavily modified X0 platform.

These are very early spyshots of Kite and Tata may make extensive changes on the final production car. This again confirms that Kite will be placed between Nano and Bolt, going by its size.

The headlamps are not properly visible but the space made by the cut-out on the veil signals an interesting sweptback design. Apart from this we see the mule running on regular steel wheels.

Kite, which is a codename, will be a WagonR, Celerio rival and is scheduled to go into production sometime next year at the highly under-utilized Sanand plant, which has a capacity of 2,50,000 units per month, a large part of which is not utilized because of the dismal sales of the Nano.

On the other hand, the Nano AMT snapped here is running in the facelifted  guise. At a recent media event we had a word about the Nano with a Tata official who shared that the company has a lot of plans with the Nano, which includes this Nano AMT.

The initial impressions of the new Tata are impressive and with a complete arsenal of products awaiting to be unleashed we see the Pune based manufacturer striking back with a bang!
