At one hand, Maruti Suzuki is busy promoting the Ciaz, but at the other they are not ignoring their bread earning models. While we told you that the Alto K10 facelift AMT will be launched this month only yesterday, the next offering – Swift facelift also appears to be just as ready…
And with the frequency of spyshots and the units that are already produced, we have now started believing that this mysterious Swift will end up as the facelift of the car.
The Swift facelift, which is already on sale in the international market, gets new front and rear bumpers, LED daytime running lights (possibly on the top variant), red contrast colored door handles or chrome plated ones (depending on the variant).
All the cars seen in these spy pics (courtesy Gaadiwaadi.com) have steel wheels, some with plain grey steel wheels (hinting at the ‘L’ variants LXi and LDi) while some with black steel wheels. Some even get a cover. The actual top end version which will go on sale can be expected to have alloy wheels.
Apart from the very minor changes to the exteriors, we expect Maruti to add a few nifty features to the car. The new Swift facelift is expected to come with a push Start button with i-key entry and Reverse parking sensors are also going to be a new addition. While engine and manual transmissions are expected to remain the same, there is a tiny bit of possibility of the company offering the Swift with an automatic gearbox.
Since Ciaz has been launched this month and the Alto K10 AMT facelift is also expected within a few days, the new Swift facelift may be launched next month in November. One of the pic here also tells us that Maruti has started with limited dispatches of the car…
