Next-Gen City is one of the many products that are awaited with bated breaths from Honda in India. Apart from this new City, Honda has already confirmed introduction of the following products for us:

  • Next-Gen Jazz: It has already been launched in Japan and has received a remarkable opening till now. Coming to India next year.
  • Honda Mobilio MPV: Though it looks plain jane, it will gun for Ertiga in India. Launch expected in 2014.
  • Honda Compact SUV: It will make its official showcase in production version at Tokyo Motor Show which begins from 20th Nov. And yes, it will also give a full-blooded shot in India.

The new found energy and fresh expectation from Honda should be credited to its newly introduced diesel engine and all the upcoming vehicles we have talked about will share the same 1.5L i-DTEC diesel engine in one or the other tunes obviously apart from the refined petrols they have been making.

Next-Gen City will be based on the new Jazz and it is expected to be a looker for sure. Apart from the 1.5L i-VTEC petrol engine from the current City in a better tune, it will get the 1.5L i-DTEC diesel motor in a higher power state.

So, how many of you are holding onto your bookings/deliveries of Hyundai Verna then?
