Nissan & Datsun’s Lineup at Auto Expo – Limited Editions, New Models, Bluebird etc

The Japanese manufacturer Nissan has officially confirmed their line-up for the upcoming Auto Expo scheduled for early February. Apart from their world renowned halo models, which are expected to include the GTR, the company is also bringing a refreshed product line-up. While sales for the brand have not been encouraging, Nissan hopes to revitalise their portfolio for a higher market share.

ICC World Twenty20 Limited Edition models of the Terrano and Micra will be showcased which will be a tribute to the upcoming cricket extravaganza later this year. Also gracing the stage will be a special version of the compact SUV Terrano and a sports version of the sedan Sunny.

The existing line-up of products which include the Micra, Sunny and Terrano will also be present. Strangely the Evalia has not been mentioned at all! Showcasing their prowess in terms of advanced technologies, a separate pavilion with EPORO robots will also be showcased. Helping in their autonomous driving plans, these are designed to travel in a group that mimics the behavioural patterns of a school of fish in avoiding obstacles without colliding with each other.

Their low cost arm Datsun will be showcasing the Datsun Go Cross Concept which is expected to be the predecessor for future iterations of the Go and Go+. They also intend to show enriched versions of the Go hatch and Go+ MPV. A smart display vehicle based on the Go+ will be set up to showcase the roomy interiors for the car and entertain the onboard gaming consoles.
