Nissan Launches New Top-End Evalia Variant at 11.61 Lakh

Nissan has added a new top-end variant to its Innova competitor, Evalia. The ‘Special Variant’ brings with it changes to the vehicle’s interiors as well as its exteriors. The new one gets an all-new chrome front grille and the bonnet’s new chrome strip merges with it. The front bumper has also been completely redesigned and now the integrated fog lamps have been given chrome surrounds.

In profile, you will notice the new 10-spoke alloy wheels while the rear gets a lot of chrome and a roof spoiler. On the inside, the second bench has been removed and new captain seats have been installed for better passenger comfort. The captain seats also come standard in the XL(O), XV, and XV(O) variants, and the new top-end Evalia gets all the other features of XV(O) too, which was the top Evalia until now.

The new Special Variant of Evalia gets roof-mounted air-con vents for both the second and third rows, 2-din audio system with USB connectivity, rear wiper and defogger, anti-glare inside rear view mirror, front row assist grip and glove box lid. There’s wood finish on the dashboard, reading lights for the last row passengers, and better fitting carpets, among other features.

There are no changes done to the mechanicals and the Evalia continues to derive motive power from a 1.5-litre diesel engine that puts out 86PS of peak power at 3,750 rpm and 200Nm of peak torque at 2,000 rpm. The best part about Evalia is that Nissan has given ABS (Antilock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), and Brake Assist as standard safety equipment across all variants. And except for the base XE variant, airbags for both the driver and the front passenger also come as standard in all.

Nissan Evalia Price

The base Evalia XE comes for INR 8,62,792 while the XV(O) costs INR 10,83,930. The new top-end Special Edition has been priced at INR 11,61,930 by Nissan (all prices are ex-showroom New Delhi).
