Nissan has lent their MPV Evalia with another minor facelift, yet again. The new update was kept on display at the Auto Expo and has only now become a part of the Nissan’s Indian line-up.
The car has not been performing well, in fact it barely sees any movement and Nissan has been trying to lend some little breath of fresh air to make it a more noticeable product in the segment.
New Evalia Changes & Features:
The latest changes include:
- Chrome, chrome, some more chrome…
- New front radiator protection grille with chrome!
- New front bumpers
- Chunkier rear tail lamps
- More chrome on the rear tail gate
- New alloy wheels, there’s not much you can do with that one though
- Faux wood finish in the interiors and a lid with the glove box (only in the top variant though)
The Evalia is still a pretty loaded car with some high levels of safety. ABS, EBD, brake assist and central locking with security immobilizer are offered right from the base variant. 60:40 split foldable 2nd row and 50:50 split foldable 3rd row would give it a huge storage space where you can carry your world around.
New Evalia Colors:
The car will be available in the following colors:
- Titanium Grey
- Aqua Green
- Blade Silver
- Brick Red
- Onyx Black
- Pearl White
- Strom White
The 1461cc diesel engine, the same one as the older car, produces 86.18PS of power @3750rpm and 200Nm @2000rpm. The car also claims of a mileage of 19.3kmpl. New Evalia does look like a competitive product however, for some reason it just doesn’t make the cut, prices are not very luring as well.
New Nissan Evalia Prices & Variants:
The prices of the updated Evalia are:
- Evalia XE : Rs 8,49,999
- Evalia XE+: Rs 8,99,999
- Evalia XL: Rs 9,77,787
- Evalia XL (O): Rs 10,02,211
- Evalia XV: Rs 10,43,437
- Evalia XV (O): Rs 10,67,859
*all prices ex-showroom, Delhi
Will these minor refreshments do any good to Evalia’s sales, specially with the launch of Mobilio just yesterday? We aren’t really sure!
