Nissan would be manufacturing a mid-sized hatchback to compete with the likes of Ford Focus, Volkswagen Golf and Citroen C4 in the UK market at their Sunderland plant. This car would mark Nissan’s entry in this segment.
Apart from this Nissan has already shown interest in producing a mainstream B-Segment compact car at the same plant. When these two models go to production Nissan’s Sunderland plant would be manufacturing a total of five models.
