No Bid For Saab : Ratan Tata

Tata Chairman Ratan Tata denied the report that Tata Motors had placed a bid for bankrupt Swedish auto firm Saab Automobile.

“We have not bid for Saab, but another Indian company, Mahindra, has,” Tata told reporters on the sidelines of the Geneva Motor Show here.

“I think we have our hands full post the acquisition of JLR. We have two vibrant brands (Jaguar and Land Rover). Our focus is on to make them two most relevant and vibrant brands further,” he said

A report in the media had stated Tata Motors had made a $ 350 million bid for Saab . Saab, owned by Dutch company Swedish Automobile, filed for bankruptcy in December after numerous failed deals to keep it afloat.
