It is not a big secret that Tata Nano is not doing well. The company sold just 1,654 units of the car in October 2014 in comparison to 2,120 units in the same month last year. This huge drop in sales, despite all the hard work in its image makeover, is really disheartening.
From being a cheap car, Tata is trying to promote it as a smart, savvy city car. They plonked in an electronic power steering in the Nano Twist to make it a more fun car to drive, launched the eMAX CNG version, however, sales are just not picking pace even during festive seasons.
Hopefully the upcoming additions, like the F-Tronic transmission, which is basically an AMT gearbox, bigger fuel tank and openable rear tailgate, will make the car sell.

Tata NANO November 2014 Discounts
- Nano Twist XT gets a benefit of Rs 35,000. This effectively brings down the price to less than 2 lakhs, thereby making it a really attractive buy. The current ex-showroom price of the Nano is Rs 2.34 lakhs in Delhi.
- Nano eMax, the CNG variant of the car, which has a price tag of Rs 2.43 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), also gets a benefit of Rs 35,000.
- Regular Nano (without Power Steering) gets some never seen before discounts. Priced between Rs 1.41 and Rs 2.10 lakhs (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi), it gets offers of upto Rs 80,000! This does make it a very lucrative offer for sure. However, these insane discounts may be limited to the last-year’s manufactured cars probably and may be on select models only. Add to this, company is planning to discontinue the regular variants very soon….
Tata is offering discounts which considerably lower the price of the car. These benefits are inclusive of cash discount, exchange bonus and loyalty/ welcome bonus. Also these offers will be available only till November 30, 2014. And these offers are limited to Delhi only, however, you can have similar offers in other cities as well.
