NuvoSport Launched today is nothing but the Quanto facelift. It is surprisingly placed over TUV300!
At an event today, Mahindra has launched yet another sub 4 meter compact SUV – NuvoSport at a starting price tag of Rs 7.42 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi), which also becomes their second AMT offering in the segment. While its predecessor, the Quanto, is based on the Xylo platform, this heavily revised version is being claimed to be based on the underpinnings of the new Scorpio. NuvoSport will be available at all Mahindra dealerships in the country from today.
NuvoSport is powered by a new 1,493 cc mHawk diesel engine with a two stage turbocharger helping it produce 100 bhp of maximum power at 3,750 rpm and a best in class torque of 240 Nm peaking in the range of 1,600 to 2,800 rpm. Transmission options for this seven seater (5+2) sub 4 metre SUV include a 5 speed manual unit and a 5 speed AMT. Like TUV300, it also boasts of Eco and Power modes.
NuvoSport Features
NuvoSport is claimed to have comfortable suspension and anti roll technology for higher flexibility. Safety too has been given priority with dual front airbags, ABS and EBD available as an option right from the base variant. These features are standard from the mid variants. It continues with the 60:40 foldable second row seats which can recline, flip and fold down completely. Other features include:

Unfortunately, Mahindra continues with the crude interiors of Quanto and though, they have been refined, they are nowhere close to even their own TUV300 in terms of appeal.

As you can see, NuvoSport is placed over the TUV300 and while the Quanto was a sales dud, Mahindra must be hoping for better numbers from its new launch.
