Toyota Kirloskar has started a campaign called ‘Remember December’ and is offering discounts on its current crop of cars. After the weak festive season, most manufacturers are trying to gather some momentum by means of offers and discounts on some or the entire line-up.
A few manufacturers are also planning to increase their prices next year from January itself to compensate for the rising input costs and falling rupee. Using discounts in December in this case is a very interesting way of attractive more buyers who can get some nice bargains and their cars at a cheaper price.
Toyota has so far not announced any price rise plans but we would not be very surprised if they do so in the near future. Their Remember December campaign offers discounts of up to Rs 50,000 and special benefits to customers who buy models like the hatchback Etios Liva, the Etios sedan, Etios Cross, the new Corolla and the MPV Innova. In the official press release we have received the company has not specified the amount of discounts and offers on respective cars and instead it mentions that these discounts and benefits will vary from model to model and region to region.
The Japanese manufacturer has only recently celebrated the one year anniversary of the Camry Hybrid in India, of which the company has already sold more than 500 units. They are the largest seller of hybrid cars in the world and are planning to introduce more hybrids in India soon.
The discount and benefits offer has been valid from December 1 and will continue till December 31, 2014 and are available across all Toyota dealerships in the country.
