Always wanted to do some serious professional off roading but the RFC in Goa too tight or too far for your schedule? Well here’s your chance to change things. Cougar Motorsport, the organiser for Rainforest Challenge in Goa, has announced that they will be organising North and South regional chapters as part of Gerrari Offroaders Chandigarh’s Off roading Mania on January 16-17 and the BODA Annual OTR on January 23-24, 2016.
The winner of these events will get an automatic free entry to the main Force Gurkha RFC event in Goa, scheduled to be held between July 22 to July 2, 2016. However, being the annual events of their respective clubs, both of them will be non competitive, and just meant to popularise the sport in the country.
Here’s what Mr Ashish Gupta, Founder and Director Cougar Motorsport had to say:
“The objective of launching the Regional Chapters is to demystify RFC India for a majority of the offroading enthusiasts of the country who have been unable to witness the Mother Event in Goa so far. The BODA and Gerrari Offroaders annual events are among the most prestigious off-road events of the country where off-roaders from all parts of the country converge for adventure, bonding and knowledge sharing. We want to give them a taste of RFC India, right from vehicle preparation to the toughness quotient of the competition, by inviting them to compete in a few Special Stages at a nominal cost.”
Apart from being stepping stones for budding off roaders, participants will also be introduced to the world class competition element present in events like the RFC. Time for some off-road madness, then….
