“As a distinguished member of corporate India and the HR fraternity, Rajeev will bring significant experience to his new role as National President of the Employers’ Federation of India. I am sure he will endeavour to retain EFI’s position as India’s premier federation of employers, an apex body respected by all its stakeholders – the trade unions, the government and the communities with which the member companies engage,” said Mr. Sharad Patil, Secretary General, Employers’ Federation of India.

The EFI has a distinguished history with eminent personalities like Sir Homi Mody, Naval Tata and Keshub Mahindra serving as past Presidents.

Some of the values EFI stands for include fairness, integrity, national interest, credibility and inclusiveness.

According to Rajeev, the major task ahead for the EFI is to work with all its stakeholders (the government, unions, local communities and the ILO) to create an ecosystem which would not only make India globally competitive based on innovation and competitiveness but to also ensure fairness and equality for all concerned.

Upholding the EFI’s values of promoting fairness, inclusion, integrity and credibility in the workplace is of paramount importance. The EFI can create several platforms for various stakeholders get together to co-create tomorrow’s India, thereby unleashing India’s blue collar working capabilities. This will necessarily imply the active participation of multiple stakeholders, not only in New Delhi but also in the state capitals and smaller towns throughout the country.
