In a bid to wrestle back to the numero uno position in the mid-size sedan segment from Hyundai Verna, Honda has slated the launch of the Fourth-Gen variant of the Honda City for the next month in India according to Economic Times.
City was Honda’s most popular product, and did a good job of maintaining volumes for the Japanese behemoth despite being a petrol-only model. However, South-Korean giant Hyundai’s Verna sailed in with a distinctive, fluidic style of its own (Backed by features and spunk, of course! ) and grabbed the crown of the Honda City.
To challenge the Verna, the Fourth-Generation of Honda City will be sculpted from the scratch. Not just a new exterior shell case, but it will also posses larger dimensions as compared to the current City. It will also pack in more premium features as well.
Here are a few more salient features about the new City :
The biggest revelation is that the Fourth-Gen City will be available in the diesel option. Honda has tasted sweet success with the Amaze which had a diesel engine, and City’s reputation will be another cherry on the top of the cake. Is it curtains for the Hyundai Verna??
