Lodgy is the first MPV from Renault in India and it is doing a reasonably good business here uptil now. It has sold more cars than Mobilio for the last two months and though these are early days, we see potential in what it offers. So, if you have seen crossovers, cross hatchbacks, compact crossovers till now, here is something new for you – a Cross MPV.
Renault has silently updated their website with details of Lodgy Stepway, the crossover variant of the MPV. It was expected since Renault first showcased and gifted it to Hrithik Roshan at Star Guild Awards back in January this year.
What is Lodgy Stepway?
Stepway is a variant of Lodgy based on the RXZ trim and gets some crossover-like features to make it more luring. It gets..

Lodgy Stepway also gets cruise control, speed limiter, 8-way adjustable driver seat, ABS, EBD, airbags etc. Yes, if you were looking for bigger tyres, higher ground clearance et all, that’s just not there! It is strictly a more puffed up version of the MPV but the good thing is that it is not being promoted as a separate car like Toyota does with Etios Cross and Volkswagen with their Cross Polo!
Renault Lodgy Stepway Price
As expected the Stepway variant is placed over the existing lineup. It is made available both as a 7-seater as well as an 8-seater.. Here are the respective prices…
- Renault Lodgy Stepway 8-Seater: Rs 11.99 Lakhs
- Renault Lodgy Stepway 7-Seater: Rs 12.29 Lakhs

The top of the line regular Lodgy RxZ 7-seat is priced at Rs 11.79 Lakhs and the 8-seater version costs Rs 11.49 Lakhs ex-showroom in Delhi, the Stepway has been priced at a difference of exactly Rs 50,000! It is powered by the same 1.5 liter dCi diesel motor which produces 110PS of peak power and 245Nm of maximum torque.
Cross-over features and an MPV… Interesting combo…
This stepaway edition is very premium and though all configurations same, the cruise control is the best added feature. Also the front grille is very impressive along with the anthracite wheels. Worth the money.
