It was the middle of 2011 when Renault presented us the majestic and one of the most sophisticated looking car in its segment, Fluence. Time went on but this French beauty didn’t help the company to see good numbers. Then came the Duster, a massive success which brought the company fame and helped establish the brand image in India.
Now, the French car maker is planning to give a push to it’s flagship sedan, Fluence by making some distinct changes. Apart from obvious cosmetic changes the engine and gearbox might also get a few tweaks.

Interior Changes:
Among all the refreshments, the biggest and most important one could be the engine and the gearbox. To grow with the market and satisfy customer needs, Renault is developing an Efficient Dual Clutch (EDC) automatic transmission, coupled with a diesel engine. This setup helps the car touch 0 to 100 kmph in just 11.9 seconds, with a top speed of 185 kmph. Though fuel efficiency is compromised a bit.
The international version of the Fluence now comes with the 1.6-Liter Hi-tech dCi 130 Diesel motor, along with Start-Stop and energy recovery features. Equipped with this 1.6 dCi Motor, the Fluence is set go on sale in Turkey this month and we can expect this in India within the first quarter of 2013.
