If one thing Tata Motors is known for around the world, apart from Jaguar Land Rover, it has to be the killer models they showcase at various Auto Shows (which never make it to production is another thing though 😀 ). Remember the Pixel? Which was followed by Mega Pixel.. and the Storme Mountain Rescue and Ladakh Concept and the list goes…
This time at the Big Boys Toys Expo 2015, the company chose to stick with existing production models and showcased heavily accessorised versions of the GenX Nano, Bolt and Safari Storme. Here are more details…
Accessorized GenX Nano
The GenX Nano Easy Shift was showcased with a sporty body kit. This included a roof spoiler, sunroof, body graphics and alloy wheels. The car also boasted of door visors, art leather seat covers with cushion and carpets. The most interesting thing though was a remote control for releasing the hatch.
Rally Bolt
The Bolt was showcased in a new rally trim. Apart from the rally inspired livery, the Rally Bolt gets seats with 5 point safety harness, alloy wheels and special rally tyres (brand and details of which were not shared).
Safari Storme Off-Road
The Safari brand has been synonymous with the term SUVs for a long time now. While the shine and interest may have rubbed off thanks to Tata’s lacklustre efforts, that does not stop them from showcasing concepts after concepts at auto shows. This time, they brought the Safari Storme in the form of an off-road adventurer.
It gets a hood scoop and deflector, Personal Navigation Device from Garmin, roof mounted fog lamps, DRLs, tail gate mounted bicycle carrier and front bumper mounted fog lamps. It also gets laser shades, door visor, chrome garnish, a chiller cum warmer, seat organizer, coat hanger, rubber mats, seat covers and alloy wheels with mud terrain tyres.
I wanted to buy Cteta during this Durga Puja 2015 but after coming to know that Mahindra – Mahindra is going to launch XUV 500 Petrol version, I changed my mind and waiting eagerly to buy it.
As far as I know, there is no XUV500 petrol thats coming anytime soon…
