SCOOP: Maruti Alto Facelift Snapped Uncamouflaged!

It was MotorBash which brought to you the first ever spyshots of the upcoming new Alto facelift (here). Those mules were snapped doing high altitude testing and were camouflaged to the brim.

In a new update, the car has been snapped inside Maruti’s factory by the folks at Gaadiwaadi.com almost uncamouflaged. The pics are low resolution and have been captured from a long distance and that made us scrutinize the mule as closely as possible to validate if it actually is the new Alto facelift. Then we also had our exclusive spyshots, everyone will use to compare. 🙂

The single horizontal chrome line on the grille, sharper headlamps, redesigned bumper and modified rear portion are visible as the major changes on the outside. On the interiors also there has be some refreshment but the more important bit here is the big possibility of the introduction of the AMT (Automated Manaul Transmission) to make things more luring.

This appears to be Alto 800 in size with the same tall-boy height but there also lies a big possibility of Maruti launching the speculated Alto K10 facelift in the same design.

On a side note, Alto 800 is at best a ‘bad’ looking car and a design correction is definitely needed to make it more appealing to the generic public. Maruti has definitely become wary of the competition and has plans to launch as many as 4 new models this year which include Ciaz sedan, Swift and Dzire facelifts and Alto K10 facelift with AMT.
