We heard this in the western and foreign countries most often, but it has reached India as well. Car recalls have become more frequent in our country and there are no preset guidelines or government policies on this.
Automotive Industry body SIAM is working towards framing a car recall policy which is a voluntary initiative by car manufacturers and it is in the development stage. In the next few months, an announcement related to the policy is expected.
