Skoda India, in a bid to make their products more attractive for prospective buyers, has introduced the Skoda Zeal Edition across its entire model range in India. Available in showrooms across the country from March 9, 2015, these cars will be on sale for a limited period only, according to Skoda.
This will bring a series of changes in the Superb, Octavia and Yeti which includes:
- Black Alcantara leather seats
- Black dashboard
- Black door trims
Their mid-size sedan Rapid on the other hand gets a comprehensive accessory package across three variants (Ambition kit, Elegance kit and Elegance Plus kit) which consists of:
- Leatherette and Alcantara seats
- Navigation device with rear view camera
- Rear Parktronics
- Observation mirror
- Floor textile mats
The prices of the Zeal kits are extra.
Skoda’s dwindling market share needs a serious revival strategy and work on their product placement as against their parent company Volkswagen. Rapid comprises of most of their sales and quite clearly, even after so many years, they have not been able to create a complete portfolio of offerings.
