When the world is moving towards compact SUVs, Skoda’s already compact Yeti is getting longer! Yes, Skoda is lengthening the wheelbase of its compact SUV Yeti in China.
New Yeti would have a 60mm longer wheelbase of 2638mm (from 2578mm of the current version). The reason of doing this modification is to provide more rear passenger space to occupants which is what Chinese customers prefer.
In India, Yeti is available with a 2.0 TDI diesel engine with 4×2 and 4×4 options. Though a very potent car, it has always eluded success in our domestic market. After the launch of Duster, there were reports that Skoda was offering Yeti with more than 2 Lakh rupees discounts. So, would Skoda consider something for Yeti in India?
