Czech based Skoda has pulled the wraps off the 2014 facelifted Yeti at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Skoda has decided to give a mid life makeover for its successful Compact SUV and the Yeti design line gets divided in to two variants.
Earlier cheeky, soft cut look of Skoda has gone under the knife and the new facelifted version sports a stronger and majestic Volkswagen front look. The front has been substantially altered with a new Volkswagen inspired rectangular headlight, new traditional butterfly grille and a cut out sporty front bumper.
On the inside Yeti gets a new three spoke steering wheel and new seat fabric options. The instrumentation levels have been given a significant boost with an optical parking assist (rear view camera), automatic parking assist, KESSY (automatic lock and start system without the use of a key), double-sided floor covering and detachable LED light in the boot.
There are two design variants:
Skoda will continue to offer Yeti with the existing engine options with minor updates. The more powerful 168bhp 2.0 TDI engine will be offered with an all-wheel-drive, six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission for the first time and the base 103bhp 1.6 TDI can now be had with an optional seven-speed dual-clutch auto.
