SPIED: Duster to Get a New Face; Spotted in Camouflage

Almost all of you will know that the Duster we have in India under the badge of Renault is originally a Dacia product and Dacia is nothing but a Renault owned company now.

Duster has been quite successful all over the world and in India we all know where has it taken Renault’s otherwise lackluster sales. Now, new spyshots of a partly camouflaged Duster have made way. Part hiding at the front and rear gives us a hint of where exactly is the botox treatment going to take place.

New Duster is expected to get fresher headlamps, newer grille and a wee bit of refresh jobs to the bumpers as well as the tail lamp cluster. In an earlier spotting, we have also seen a few changes to the interiors of the compact SUV. We do wish a significant improvement to the interiors of Duster which are a little turn off on an otherwise brilliant looking vehicle.

According to Carscoops, this new Duster is expected to be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show this year or if it gets spilled over, it might be the Geneva Show in March next year. How many of these changes will percolate to the Indian model remains to be seen. We also have the Auto Expo in India in February next year and this might be a good display recipe for us, mortals.

Renault will have to act fast and strong considering that there is a lot of competition brewing up in the Indian compact SUV segment with established players showing their desires of entering this fast growing segment. The biggest thorn for Renault Duster remains EcoSport for now and a comprehensive refresh might be Renault’s reply to Ford!
