Is Volkswagen preparing some kind of a facelift or a refresh for its Vento? These spyshots of the Left Hand Drive Polo Sedan roaming around fresh in Pune make us suspect that.
Next question: What is Polo Sedan?
Volkswagen sells Vento by the name of Polo Sedan in many countries like South Africa, Malaysia and a few others. There is a smaller 1.4L Polo Sedan as well which it sells at least in South Africa. These are exported from India by Volkswagen to these countries.
We had spotted these cars back in May last year as well when we shared with you the scoop of Volkswagen Jetta Petrol. Last year Volkswagen had announced that it will produce and sell Vento/Polo Sedan LHDs and export them from India to countries in Middle East and Africa. These mules are again out on the streets, this could mean either there is a facelift/refresh in pipeline or Volkswagen is planning to enter a new market with this Left Hand Driven Polo Sedan.
There is nothing specifically visually different in this Polo Sedan with what we get in India as Vento. But what we, in India, are all set to get is the CNG variant, first conclusive pictures we have brought to you in December 2012.
